Dee Barnard has a strong work experience in the field of healthcare and technology. Dee started their career in 1979 as a Business Analyst Project Lead at the Baptist Sunday School Board and worked there until 1991. From 1991 to 1993, they served as a Systems Analyst/Project Lead at Service Merchandise, where they took on the role of EDI Director and managed worldwide EDI Operations.

In 1995, Dee Barnard joined the New Hanover Regional Medical Center as an IT Director. Dee was responsible for overseeing four IT departments, managing a large budget, and implementing new software applications. During their tenure, they also worked on planning strategic initiatives related to information systems for the hospital network.

In 2009, Dee Barnard joined HDR as a Senior Project Manager. Dee led technology projects for a new hospital in Barrow, AK, and was also involved in developing a Technology Master Plan for a hospital construction project in Chicago, IL.

From 2015 to 2016, Dee Barnard worked at Johnson Controls as a Healthcare Technology Project Manager. Dee played a key role in marketing and implementing the Healthcare Environment Optimization (HEO) product, and also worked on designing software technology to integrate clinical systems with building automation systems.

Most recently, Dee Barnard joined Intellect Resources as a Healthcare Project Consultant in 2017.

Dee Barnard attended Technical College from 1977 to 1979, where they pursued an Associate's degree in Data Processing.
