Rob Christiansen is a seasoned professional in the broadcasting and audio production industry, currently serving as the Director of Broadcast Applications at New York Public Radio since June 2017, where previous roles included Assistant Director. Since January 2006, Rob has also contributed as a Radio Producer for Intelligence Squared U.S. Foundation, focusing on editing, scripting, mixing, and distributing radio broadcasts and podcasts. Additionally, Rob has been a freelance Composer, Music Director, Producer, and Recordist for Motion Activated, Inc. since January 2000, specializing in various music and audio recording projects. Prior experience includes a tenure at WNYC Radio from August 2004 to June 2017 as Digital Audio Network Engineer, where expertise in broadcast systems and sound design for programs such as Radiolab was developed. Rob holds a BS in Physics with an Audio Concentration from American University.
