Michael Lannon

Michael Lannon has extensive experience in education leadership, currently serving as Vice President for the National Education Foundation since June 2014, focusing on QZAB funding access and enhancing learning through AfterSchool programs. Lannon also holds the position of President of the Board of Directors for the Florida AfterSchool Network. Michael's previous role as Superintendent of Schools for the St. Lucie County District from 2003 to 2013 involved leading over 40,000 students and overseeing significant infrastructure and technology advancements. Other notable positions include Superintendent of Schools in Monroe County, Florida, and Principal at Coral Shores High School. Lannon's career began with teaching and administrative roles on Native American reservations and in Los Angeles public schools. Michael's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Leo University.
