Tamer Azer

Tamer Azer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and entrepreneurship within the startup ecosystem. Currently serving as a Partner at Shorooq since June 2021 and as Adjunct Exec-Ed Faculty at The American University in Cairo, Tamer is also actively involved as an Investment Committee Member at Falak Startups, Cofounder and Board Member at Ankh Resources LTD, and in various board member roles across several companies including MQR and DXwand. Tamer's previous experience includes a significant role as Principal at Sawari Ventures and as Investment and Venture Development Director at A15, where activities were focused on enhancing Egypt's entrepreneurial landscape. Tamer holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Design from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Commerce & Finance with a Major in Economics from the University of Toronto.
