Dan Haddock has extensive experience in the field of water utility services. Dan currently serves as Principal Engineer and Director of Water Utility Services at INTERA, where they apply analytical and modeling capabilities to optimize water resource use and infrastructure. Before joining INTERA, Dan worked as the Drinking Water Practice Leader at Lochmueller Group. Prior to that, they held various roles at Layne Christensen, including General Manager, Operations Manager, and Senior Project Manager. Dan also served as an Engineering Manager at American Water, where they managed a team providing master planning and project delivery services for multiple water and wastewater utilities. Dan began their career as a Water & Sanitation Engineer in the Peace Corps and has held engineering positions at Indiana American Water and Wessler Engineering. In addition, Dan worked with the American Red Cross International Services, leading a reconstruction program in Honduras after Hurricane Mitch to restore water and sanitation services. Overall, Dan's work experience spans over 30 years and includes a range of leadership and technical roles in the water utility industry.
Dan Haddock received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, where they attended from 1985 to 1990. Dan has also obtained several professional certifications, including being a Professional Engineer (PE) in various states such as Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, Hawaii, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Additionally, they are an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, which they obtained in November 2014.
