Jack Wittman has a diverse work experience in the field of water supply systems and resource planning. Jack started their career in 1994 as the President of WHPA, a start-up company focused on groundwater modeling in the water utility industry. In 2008, WHPA was acquired by Layne Christensen, where Jack served as the Director of Layne Hydro division. In this role, they managed a team responsible for regional and local water supply evaluations and integrated water resource planning. In 2013, Jack joined INTERA Geosciences and Engineering as a Principal Geoscientist, specializing in strategic water supply planning and groundwater analysis. Jack then moved on to INTERA Incorporated in 2015, taking up the role of V.P. Midwest, responsible for developing water supply systems and resource planning projects in the Midwest region. Currently, Jack serves as the VP of Strategy and Integration at INTERA Incorporated.
Jack Wittman has a PhD in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained between 1991 and 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Watershed Science and Hydrology from Utah State University, attending from 1981 to 1984. In addition to their academic achievements, Jack holds a certification as a Certified Ground Water Professional from the National Ground Water Association.
