Patrick Riesterer has extensive work experience in the legal field. Patrick currently holds the position of VP & Deputy General Counsel at Interac Corp. Patrick specialized in advising Canadian and international corporations, court officers, and financial institutions on insolvencies, restructurings, secured lending transactions, derivatives, and enforcement of rights. Patrick also provided guidance on compliance, risk management, and the structuring of product offerings for financial institutions. Additionally, they worked as an Articling Student at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
Patrick's earlier work experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at London Health Sciences Centre, LSAT Instructor at The Princeton Review, and Teaching Assistant at McMaster University.
Patrick Riesterer earned a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Trinity Western University in the period of 1998-2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy at McMaster University from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they completed their education at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree, specializing in Law from 2007 to 2010.
