At INTERACT Animal Lab, we are pioneering the field of Animal-Computer Interaction (ACI) to transform the experiences of animals through cutting-edge technology. Based at Northeastern University, our interdisciplinary lab is dedicated to designing ethical and innovative systems that empower animals, enhance their cognitive enrichment, and foster deeper interspecies connections.

Led by Dr. Rébecca Kleinberger, our team explores new ways to give animals more autonomy over their physical and social environments, creating tools that improve animal welfare and bridge the gap between humans and animals. We are driven by the belief that technology can serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of animals, encouraging both enriched environments and compassionate care.

Whether through groundbreaking research, ethical design principles, or collaborative projects, INTERACT Animal Lab is on a mission to reshape how we view technology’s role in animal welfare. Join us in reimagining the future of animal-centered innovation.
