John Chen

John Chen has extensive work experience in the field of information extraction and scientific research. John started their career in 2005 at Janya, Inc. as a Senior Research Scientist, where they focused on developing information extraction systems and conducting research in areas such as named entity recognition and entity coreference resolution. John later became the Manager of the Research Group, overseeing a team working on various information extraction problems, including sentiment analysis and IE for the medical domain. In 2012, John joined AT&T Labs, Inc. as a Consultant, providing expertise in their field. Since 2014, they have been working at Interactions LLC, initially as a Principal Inventive Scientist and currently as the Lead Inventive Scientist. John's roles at Interactions involve leading and contributing to innovative scientific projects.

John Chen attended the University of Delaware from 1995 to 2001 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General. Before that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at New York University in 1993. Prior to their Master's degree, they pursued computer science studies at New York University in 1992.
