Lawrence E. Harris

Lawrence Harris is the Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance at USC Marshall School of Business, a position held since September 1982. In addition to academic responsibilities, Harris serves as Lead Independent Director at Interactive Brokers and holds director and trustee roles with Selected Funds and Clipper Fund, both of which commenced in 2007. As Research Coordinator for The Q-Group since 1990 and Executive Director of the Financial Economists Roundtable since 2015, Harris contributes significantly to financial economics. Previously, Harris was Chief Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2002 to 2004. Educational credentials include a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from UC San Diego.
