Hasan Obeid

Hasan Obeid has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Hasan is currently working as the Lead Engineer at Interactive Life Inc, a position they have held since March 2020. Before that, they worked at Refinitiv from May 2019 to January 2020, where they held the role of Senior Delivery Lead and was responsible for project management, risk management, and team building. Hasan also served as the Software Development Team Leader from October 2018 to April 2019 at Refinitiv, where they oversaw the development lifecycle of products, evaluated architectural changes, and managed a team of up to 20 engineers.

Prior to their time at Refinitiv, Hasan worked at Thomson Reuters for a significant duration. Hasan started as a Technical Lead in February 2010 and transitioned into the role of Software Development Team Leader in May 2013. At Thomson Reuters, they managed teams of technologists, established software development processes for the MENA region, defined KPI metrics, and oversaw the successful delivery of various products. Hasan also implemented project management practices and planning tools.

Earlier in their career, Hasan worked at Zawya from February 2007 to January 2010. Hasan served as the Software Development Team Leader, managing and implementing tools and applications, conducting research and development, and delivering Thomson Reuters products. Hasan also worked as a Web Developer during their time at Zawya.

Hasan's career began with an internship at INSA Rouen in 2005, where they worked as a Software Developer. During this internship, they designed and implemented a rain detection software using image processing techniques, which resulted in multiple publications in the image processing field.

Hasan Obeid completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer and Communication Engineering at Rafik Hariri University from 2002 to 2005. Hasan then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer and Communication Engineering at the same university from 2005 to 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Hasan Obeid holds several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications from Skillsoft. In 2018, they completed the Data Science Specialization from The Johns Hopkins University. In 2020, Hasan obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Most recently, in 2021, they earned the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from ITIL 4.
