Chris Conard is an Austin- and Albuquerque-based designer for theatre, events, and installations. They earned a BFA in Technical Theatre Design and Technology from Santa Fe University of Art and Design in 2014 and an MFA in Live Design from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. They currently serve as Technical Director for Fusebox Festival in Austin and are the co-founder of Interactive Nature LLC, established in 2021; they previously co-founded Frank Wo/Men Collective in Austin, which operated from 2016 to 2021. They have designed for Delta Airlines, PMI, Rooster Teeth, Indeed, Dell, TikTok, Tecovas boots, RuPaul's Drag Race, and Cisco. They were recipients of the 2017 and 2018 Austin Critics Table Awards for Best Set Design, the 2017 B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Set Design, and the 2019 B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Lighting Design, and they are a Vectorworks Designer at Level Studios since 2025.
