Ian Atherton

Project Manager at Intercede

Ian Atherton has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. In 1973, they joined the Royal Corps of Signals, where they held the role of FofS until 1997. From 1999 to 2009, Ian worked in the Ministry of Defence as a Technical Assurance. In 2010, they joined Symantec.Cloud as a Senior Program Manager until 2013. Ian then moved on to LEICESTERSHIRE AERO CLUB, where they served as a Member of the Council of Management from 2015 to 2016. Since 2014, they have been working at Intercede, a software company specializing in identity and credential management, in the role of Project Manager. Additionally, in 2023, Ian became a Councillor for Melton Borough Council in the Melton Craven Ward.

Ian Atherton attended Stand Grammar School from 1969 to 1973. After completing their education there, they enrolled in the Army Apprentice College in Harrogate from 1973 to 1975, where they earned an ONC degree. In 1985, Ian attended the Royal School of Signals for a year and obtained a BTEC HND in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
