A revolution in manure management:
Carbon-negative manure management as a free service — we pay farmers for manure and monetize it through conversion to high value carbon products. We return concentrated, nutrient- balanced liquid fertilizer to farmers for free. Cleaner farms, cleaner climate, more $$ to farms. Highly profitable and scalable, the Intercept mZERO service is manure, managed.
Business Summary:
Livestock farms are the largest unmanaged sources of methane in the world. The Intercept Carbon mZERO service replaces on-farm manure management practices with a free manure collection and processing service that converts manure into high value carbon products and concentrated liquid fertilizer — in minutes, not weeks or months.
Our proprietary ThermoSonic Carbonization (TSC) technology carbonizes manure at our local processing facilities, consuming minimal energy and no water. Farmers pay nothing for the mZERO service and take on no added labor costs, no permitting hassles, and no extra operational burden. Instead, Intercept pays farmers for the manure we collect.
Instead of expensive and labor intensive on-farm management, farmers get:
A free service that dramatically reduces methane emissions, odor and manure workload
Sterile, nutrient-balanced liquid fertilizer delivered when and where it’s needed
Payment for manure contributed, directly boosting farm profitability
Intercept monetizes the system through the sale of AAA grade carbon removal credits and activated carbon products. By solving manure management pain points and turning waste into value, Intercept aligns farmers’ interests with large scale climate goals, delivering the lowest cost permanent carbon removal on the planet.
