Deryk David

Vice President at Intercept Pharmaceuticals

Deryk David has a diverse work experience spanning several notable companies. Deryk started their career at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as a Market Research Analyst from 1983 to 1987. Deryk then joined Abbott Laboratories, where they held various roles including Associate Product Manager, National Manager of Managed Health Care, Director of Market Research, Director of Professional Communications, and Regional Sales Director from 1989 to 1997.

In 1997, Deryk joined Merck and worked in different positions. Deryk served as Executive Director of the NeuroScience Therapeutic Group and led the launch of Maxalt in migraine. Deryk also worked as Executive Director of the Market Integration Team, overseeing various aspects of product development and launch. From 2001 to 2005, they held the positions of Executive Director of the HSA Program (MSL team) and Executive Director of Oncology, where they managed a new Oncology Business Group and launched the supportive care Oncology compound, Emend.

Deryk then joined Merck and Company as the Executive Business Director of Vaccines from 2005 to 2008. Deryk delivered above-plan performance for the launch of Gardasil and Zostavax, leading the sales team supporting Adult and Adolescent vaccines.

From 2008 to 2014, Deryk worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Vice President, first in Oncology, where they managed the sales force supporting a portfolio of cancer brands, and later in Transplant and Optimized Brands.

From 2014 to 2017, Deryk served as Senior Vice President of Access Strategy and Communications at Aventria Health Group. Finally, they joined Intercept Pharmaceuticals in 2017 as Vice President.

Deryk David completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Mumbai from 1973 to 1979.
