Jae Kwon

Jae Kwon is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology leader with extensive experience in the blockchain and software development industries. As the Founder of NewTendermint LLC since January 2023, Kwon is focused on advancing smart contracting platforms. In parallel, Kwon has served as President of the Interchain Foundation since March 2017, advocating for interoperability among blockchain networks. Additionally, as Founder and CEO of Tendermint since April 2014, Kwon played a pivotal role in creating the first Byzantine fault-tolerant blockchain consensus algorithm. Previous roles include Co-developer at Scramble.io and Cofounder of iDoneThis, among others, showcasing a strong background in software development and innovative project management. Kwon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
