Brian Boyle

Brian Boyle has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position at Intercom as a Staff Engineer, where they have been since April 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Intercom as a Senior Product Engineer from July 2018 to April 2022, and as a Product Engineer from May 2016 to June 2018.

Before joining Intercom, Brian worked at Synchronoss Technologies as a Senior iOS Engineer on a contract basis from August 2015 to April 2016. Brian also had a significant role at Soundwave, a mobile music-discovery startup based in Dublin, Ireland, where they served as the Lead iOS Developer from January 2013 to January 2016. Soundwave was later acquired by Spotify.

In addition to their employment history, Brian has also worked as a freelance Mobile Application Developer, creating an Android trivia game called "The Sopranos Quiz" in 2012. Brian boasts over 2500 downloads and a user rating of 4.6/5 on Google Play for this project.

Earlier in their career, Brian worked at Information Mosaic as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2007 to August 2011. Brian played a vital role in the development and maintenance of the company's user interface, including the creation of a web-based UI framework for their next-generation products. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer at Ericsson Australia, where they designed a software tool for internal use by the Publishing Unit.

Furthermore, Brian has experience as a Lead Developer for the E-vent Opensource Project, an Event Management Application for the 2006 European Juggling Convention. Brian designed and built an open-source registration and data analysis application for this project.

Lastly, Brian began their career at Information Mosaic as a junior Software Engineer in July 2004, working on the Converg-e product. Due to their eagerness to learn, they quickly became one of the main developers on the team, taking ownership of key technical components. Before this role, they worked as a QA Engineer at Information Mosaic for a 6-month placement during their third year in college. Brian'sresponsibilities included analyzing business specifications, writing and executing test cases, and performing regression testing of IM's products.

Brian Boyle completed their Leaving Certificate from Coláiste Eoin in 2000. Brian then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Information Systems from Technological University Dublin, which they successfully completed in 2004. In 2011, Brian enrolled at University College Dublin, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science (Negotiated Learning) and completed it in 2012.
