Danny F.

Danny F. has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Danny started their career as a Software Developer and System Administrator at An Foras Feasa, where they worked on various team and individual projects using methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. Danny gained expertise in PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Relational DB design and administration. Danny also worked as a Lab Demonstrator and Tutor, providing assistance to students in web information processing.

After that, Danny joined Boards.ie Ltd as a Software Developer, where they were primarily involved in maintaining the existing site, improving the HTTPS API, and migrating the UI to a highly optimized PHP5 codebase. Danny used Agile and Waterfall methodologies and developed skills in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and several support tools.

Later, Danny worked at EXADS as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in developing software solutions. Danny then joined Intercom as an Infrastructure Engineer, Product Engineer, and Senior Product Engineer, taking on various responsibilities. Notably, they bootstrapped the London R&D office, expanded the Intercom support product base, and introduced service level objectives for deployment times. Danny also played a key role in onboarding and interviewing engineers, building a strong engineering culture, and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Currently, Danny is working at Intercom as a Staff Engineer with a focus on improving deployment processes and implementing infrastructure as code practices.
