Eugene Kenny

Eugene Kenny has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Eugene is currently employed at Intercom as a Staff Engineer, a position they started in November 2021. Prior to this role, Eugene worked at Intercom as a Senior Engineer from June 2017 to November 2021, and as an Ops Engineer from September 2013 to June 2017.

Before joining Intercom, Eugene was a Senior Software Developer at Distilled Media from October 2010 to August 2013. Eugene also gained experience working as a Software Engineer at the LocalSocial Project at NDRC from July 2009 to July 2010, where they contributed to the design of a mobile social framework and developed sample applications using Ruby on Rails and OAuth-based social network APIs.

Additionally, Eugene has research experience as a Research Intern at University College Dublin, where they participated in a summer research internship in 2008. Eugene'sproject focused on graphing users' social interactions to provide a deeper understanding of their wider social network. The work was published in the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence and presented at the Ambient Information Systems workshop at Ubicomp 2008.

Eugene Kenny attended University College Dublin from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
