Melanie Spath

Melanie Spath has a diverse work experience in both the technology and sports industries. Melanie began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at the University of Dublin, Trinity College. In 2008, they worked as a Founding Director at Tuskar Rock Software and later as a Research Assistant at Trinity College Dublin. In 2013, they joined Team TIBCO as a Professional Cyclist and also worked as a Senior Software Developer at IdentityMind Global. Melanie then transitioned into the field of product engineering, working at Intercom as a Product Engineer starting in September 2017. Additionally, they have experience as a professional track cyclist at the National Cycling Federation and as a cyclist at WyndyMilla Ltd.

Melanie Spath has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and genetics. Melanie earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science with a specialization in Health Informatics from Trinity College Dublin. This degree was obtained from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science with a focus on Networks and Distributed Systems from Trinity College Dublin, completed between 2006 and 2007. Melanie's undergraduate studies were also completed at Trinity College Dublin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Natural Sciences with a major in Genetics from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal degrees, Melanie Spath also holds a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera. Melanie successfully obtained this certification in January 2020.
