Michele Matsubara

Michele Matsubara is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in technology and commercial transactions. Michele started their career as an Associate Attorney at DLA Piper in 2006, where they handled various technology and commercial contracts for clients of different sizes. Michele then joined Apple in 2012 as a Legal Counsel, focusing on advising senior leaders and negotiating complex technology and commercial agreements. In 2014, Michele moved to Twitter, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Legal Counsel and Director of Legal. At Twitter, they managed a team and provided broad legal support for revenue- and growth-focused businesses, including digital advertising, creators, and content monetization. Michele also advised on IP, regulatory, and privacy matters. Currently, Michele is the Head of Commercial Legal at Intercom, a position they started in 2022.

Michele Matsubara obtained a JD in Law from the University of California, Davis - School of Law, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their BA in English (Department Honors Program) and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Michele also holds certifications from the State Bar of California and the State Bar of New York.
