Phil Byrne has extensive work experience in customer service, customer education, and audience engagement. Phil started their career in 2002 as a CS Supervisor at Sportsbook.com, where they supervised a team of customer service operators. Phil then worked as an Operations Manager at Sportingbet plc, where they were responsible for managing a 24/7 contact center and establishing KPIs for service levels. In 2006, Phil joined Alfard Ltd. as a Senior Operations Manager, where they focused on running a 24/7 contact center and developing a loyal customer base.
Phil later transitioned into the gaming industry and worked as a Customer Services consultant for the gaming industry, providing expertise in customer service tools and processes. In 2011, they founded NOISEY.co.uk/SweeterSounds, a creative collective of music producers. Phil also worked as an Ableton Course Tutor at Bodytonic Music.
Most recently, Phil has held various roles at Intercom, starting as a Product Education Manager (Video) where they produced and maintained video content for customer education. Phil then became a Senior Product Education Manager (Video) and later transitioned into roles focused on customer engagement, advocacy, and education. Phil's most recent role at Intercom is Director of Audience Engagement, where they build a consistent and valuable audience experience and provides value to all roles within an organization.
Phil Byrne attended the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design (BDes Indes).
