Paul Sauer

Paul Sauer is currently the Principal Investigator at Interdict Bio and previously served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of California, Berkeley from 2018 to 2023. With a PhD in Biochemistry from EMBL Grenoble, Paul has made significant contributions to the understanding of nucleosome assembly during DNA replication and is now pioneering the use of cryo-EM techniques for studying fragile protein complexes. Their work focuses on solving structures of disease-relevant protein complexes, with aspirations to explore larger systems like chromosomes to develop new drug strategies for conditions such as cancer.
