Patrick Tooher is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at InterDigital Communications since January 2010, focusing on the research and development of advanced telecommunications technologies, including 5G-NR, 5GA, and 6G, with particular emphasis on AI/ML, AIoT, NR-U, and URLLC features, alongside technology management of the AI/ML portfolio. Previously, Patrick served as a consultant working on LTE and LTE-Advanced technologies and held positions as a research assistant and teaching assistant at Concordia University from 2002 to 2009. An internship at the Canadian Space Agency in 2000 also contributed to Patrick's extensive experience. Patrick holds a PhD, M.A.Sc., and B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, all from Concordia University.
