Robbie Bancroft

Robbie Bancroft is an applied mathematician currently working as a Staff Engineer at InterDigital, Inc. and previously held the position of Research and Development Engineer at the BBC, where they focused on video compression research and AI technologies. Robbie completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Manchester, with research involving granular flows and complex fluid modelling. They have also contributed to projects on composite materials during a research internship at AWE. Outside of their professional pursuits, Robbie enjoys studying East Asian languages and outdoor activities.
