Roya Stephens

Roya Stephens is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in international relations, media, and strategic communications. Currently serving as Director of Communications at InterDigital, Inc. since August 2019, Roya previously held pivotal roles including Senior Manager of International Government Relations and Business Strategy at JD.COM, and Director of Communications at ACT | The App Association, where responsibilities included writing and editing industry reports and managing press relations. Notably, during tenure at the Executive Office of the President, Roya was Deputy Press Secretary and Director of Press Operations, overseeing communications for trade policy initiatives. A graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a Master’s in International Relations and Economics, Roya has a diverse background that combines journalism, public affairs, and digital communication expertise.
