Sam Cai

Sam Cai is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and standards management. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel and Head of Portfolio Management at InterDigital, Inc. since March 2024, Sam previously held various significant positions at BlackBerry from February 2007 to March 2024, including Senior Director and Director of Patent Counsel, as well as Director of 3GPP Standards. Prior experience includes a role as Principle Technical Staff at Motorola from 2002 to 2007. Sam holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
