Sebastjan Cizel

Sebastjan Cizel is currently a Director at InterDigital, where they lead a team in advancing AI-driven video compression technologies. Previously, as Head of Engineering at Deep Render, Sebastjan played a crucial role in developing and optimizing AI-based video codecs for edge deployment. They hold a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, where their research focused on the intersection of geometry and theoretical physics. Additionally, Sebastjan has experience tutoring a variety of mathematics courses at Oxford and has earned both a Bachelor's degree and a Master’s degree in Mathematics with Distinction from the University of Ljubljana and Imperial College London, respectively.
