James Hobbs

James Hobbs is an accomplished director of applied research with extensive experience in materials science and chemistry. Currently employed at Interface since August 2006, James has developed a strong background in applied research methodologies. Prior roles include serving as a chemist at Nanoengineered Materials from 2004 to 2006 and completing an internship at the FDA between May 2002 and June 2004. James holds a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Auburn University, earned from January 2015 to December 2020, and another Master’s degree in Textile Chemistry from North Carolina State University, obtained between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, James received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 2004.
