Allison Pastor has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Allison is currently working at Interfolio as a Senior User Experience Designer, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a User Experience Designer at Interfolio from November 2020 to March 2022. In 2015, Allison started their own freelance business called Allison Pastor Designs, where they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer. Additionally, they have worked as a UI/UX Designer at BuyItLive, Inc. from July 2020 to November 2020.
Before their current roles, Allison gained experience at InMotion Hosting. Allison began as a Graphic Design Intern in 2012 and gradually grew within the company. From June 2015 to October 2016, they served as a Web Designer Project Coordinator, overseeing multiple website projects and creating a design training program. Allison then transitioned to the role of UI/UX Designer from October 2016 to May 2017, responsible for wireframes, mockups, and front-end development. From May 2017 to February 2019, Allison was promoted to Lead UI/UX Designer, where they played a pivotal role in increasing revenue through A/B testing and creating interactive prototypes. Finally, they ended their tenure at InMotion Hosting as a UI/UX Specialist from February 2019 to November 2020, implementing a website redesign, establishing a Design System, and improving user task completion.
Allison's earlier experience includes internships at Bull Rodger Ltd., Design & Advertising in 2014, NOOK Media, LLC in 2014, Northern Awning & Sign Co. (NASCO) in 2013, and Watertown Daily Times in 2012. These internships provided their with opportunities to develop their graphic design skills and work on various design projects.
Allison Pastor attended the State University of New York at Oswego from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Business Administration. In 2014, they also studied Graphic Design at London Metropolitan University. Additionally, Allison has obtained several certifications, including the DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester Certification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in September 2021, the Accessibility: How to Design for All certification from The Interaction Design Foundation in November 2020, the Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation in February 2020, and the Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certification from Schwinn Fitness in December 2019.
