Michael Xynos is a Greek-based entrepreneur and diplomat who currently serves as founder of Interhomes and as Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Greece, and they have served on the Board of Directors of the Consular Corps in Greece since 2024. They founded the Theravada Study and Practice Center in Athens in 2018 and remain its founder and director. They previously led Intertranslations S.A. as President & CEO from 2018 to 2022, and Intertranslations Limited as Managing Director from 1996 to 2017, building a language-services contractor for EU institutions with contract values exceeding €40 million before selling the company in 2021. Their education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Earth Science from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (1981–1989), a Master’s degree in Mining Geology from the University of Exeter (1990–1991), and executive diplomas from UNITAR (2020) and Anatolia American University/FICAC (2025), along with a MIT Sloan certificate in AI implications for business strategy (2024–2025).
