Theodore Bugnet has a diverse work experience in the fields of blockchain engineering, software development, and research.

In 2015, they started working at Firmstep as a Software Developer, where they contributed to the development of a SaaS CRM platform and provided technical support to customers. Theodore continued to work part-time during their degree.

In 2016, Bugnet joined King's College London as a Teaching Assistant and Student, where they gained experience in the education sector.

From 2017 to 2019, they supported AI research at the Software Modelling and Applied Logic Research Group at King's College.

In 2019, Bugnet worked as a Software Developer at AirGrid, an early-stage startup. Theodore was involved in the core design of a privacy-oriented online advertising targeting platform and worked across the full stack using modern web development technologies.

Also in 2019, Bugnet pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Security and Reliability at Imperial College London. Theodore'sMaster's thesis focused on designing a cross-chain cryptocurrency-backed asset scheme and implementing it across BTC-ETH. Theodore extended the XCLAIM protocol to reduce collateral.

Bugnet continued their work at Imperial College London as a Graduate Student in 2019 and graduated with Distinction in 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Interlay as a Software Developer/Researcher. Theodore was responsible for implementing the XCLAIM framework and creating interBTC, a wrapped Bitcoin asset on Polkadot. Theodore worked on full-stack development and conducted research to improve the protocol's safety and efficiency.

Bugnet's latest work experience is as a Senior Blockchain Engineer at Zilliqa, starting in 2023.

Theodore Bugnet pursued their education at King's College London, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from 2016 to 2019. Building upon this foundation, they further expanded their knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Science with a specific focus on Security and Reliability by pursuing a Master of Science (MSci) degree at Imperial College London from 2019 to 2020.
