Laila Marquez

Laila Marquez has worked in the medical field since 2010. Laila started their career as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist of the HIV Research Group at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM DOH). In this role, they developed policies, testing algorithms and strategies to set up new laboratories for HIV screening testing in the Philippines and expanded HIV research. Laila also managed the HIV Research laboratory and other satellite laboratories to implement standardized HIV screening tests. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Diagnostic Application Specialist of QIAGEN Molecular Diagnostics at GETZ Healthcare (Philippines). In this role, they drove the Molecular Biology business by supporting the key account managers in their territory and focusing on key projects and KOLs. Laila also worked closely with partner Pharmaceutical companies for Personalized Medicine such as Novartis, Merck, and AztraZeneca. In 2017, they became a Product Specialist at BD. In this role, they were a laboratory's Pre Analytical consultant to help improve their process and taught the best practices in Phlebotomy and Pre Analytical Management in Laboratory Science. Laila also identified strategic market opportunities, built business plans, and executed to develop and commercialize the opportunities. In 2020, they became the CEO and Founder of InterLeukin and in 2021, they became a Laboratory Technical Consultant.

Laila Marquez completed their Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Santo Tomas from 2005 to 2009. In 2020, they obtained a Diploma in Digital Marketing from Shaw Academy. Additionally, they obtained an Event Management Software Certification from EventBank in May 2020.
