Mark Vance

Mark Vance has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing roles. Mark started their career in 1988 as a Sales and Marketing Rep at Mosaic North America. Mark then worked as a Sales Representative at Capitol Records from 1990 to 1992, where they focused on artist promotion and retail placement in the Vancouver area. From 1992 to 1997, Mark served as a Senior Sales Representative at EMI Music Canada, responsible for retail sales to Tier 1 vendors, artist promotion, and local marketing initiatives. In 1997, they joined Interlock® Metal Roofing Systems as a Sales Representative before being promoted to Director of Marketing and later Vice President of Marketing. In these roles, Mark led the Direct Marketing function and staff, managed inside and outside sales teams, developed sales and marketing strategies, and managed multi-million dollar marketing budgets.

Mark Vance completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at UBC Sauder School of Business from 1986 to 1989. Mark also obtained a University Transfer degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the College of New Caledonia from 1983 to 1986. Additionally, they received a Completion Certificate in Direct Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Creative Development, Marketing and the Law from the Direct Marketing Association in 2004. Mark Vance holds additional certifications in Canadian securities course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 1998 and in Value Investing from Columbia Business School Executive Education (specific dates not provided).
