Peter Lock

Peter Lock is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer and Board Director with over 40 years of experience in the Australian banking and financial sectors. They joined Heritage Bank in 2015, leading the organization through a successful merger with People’s Choice Credit Union in 2023 to form People First Bank, now the ninth largest domestic bank in Australia. Their career encompasses significant roles at prominent institutions such as Commonwealth Bank, St George, and NAB, where they have excelled in strategic management, mergers and acquisitions, and digital transformations. Currently, Peter serves on the Board of Directors for the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals and the Customer Owned Banking Association, alongside their advisory roles at the University of South Australia and ICG.
