June Chen

President and CEO of IRM, June Chen believes that a company is only as good as its people, and building a top-notch team is her first priority. Under her leadership style of “lead by example”, IRM is staffed by a group of highly skilled professionals who are committed to their profession and to their clients.

June also believes that the use of cutting-edge technology is another key factor to success. Under her guidance IRM was successful in achieving a “paperless environment” in 2009. In 2013, all of IRM’s business operations and workflows including claims approval, accounting validation, document review and approval, issue tracking and signature collection, along with internal communications started running on IRM’s unique platform, which is built with Microsoft SharePoint. Currently, IRM has incorporated BI (business intelligence), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) and cloud-based technology into its business model. Thus, the company has entered into another dynamic and powerful innovative environment.

By developing a detailed understanding of each client and their specific needs, IRM is able to offer customized value-added services, which include IT solutions delivering data-driven insights in a variety of areas such as, customized quoting systems, programmed underwriting guidelines based on historical data, bottom-line projecting, fraud detection tools and more. These services help the clients to be more competitive and successful in their market.

June conducts periodic brainstorming sessions with input on the latest market intelligence information and any pertinent changes in the insurance industry with a view to maintaining an up-to-date understanding of all regional regulatory requirements. These sessions also serve to unify the team and inspire them to achieve peak performance levels. June’s unique strategic skills enable her to resolve intricate and challenging issues, allowing for continued success in a very competitive market.

Holds Master’s degrees in science and mathematics from the Liaoning University of China and the University of Miami, respectively. During her over 20-year career, Mrs. Chen has worked as a software developer and actuary for a pension consulting company, a pension software company, and a life insurance company. She joined IRM in 1996 as director of underwriting and technical services, was promoted to senior vice president in 2004 and appointed President and CEO in December 2007.
