Mark Schmecht

Mark Schmecht is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as Senior Engineering Manager in the Vehicle Mechatronics Systems group at Navistar Inc. since June 2011. Mark oversees the lead systems engineers in the systems engineering department and has previously held roles such as Senior Project Engineer, leading projects on electric and autonomous vehicles, and Product Development Engineer Senior Team Lead, focusing on advanced driver assistance systems. Mark has contributed to multiple validation and verification processes within vehicle engineering and has also gained experience as a Game Tester for Good Gamer Group and participated in a rotational Management Trainee program at North American Lighting. With a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, Mark's diverse background includes research in robotics and technical service internships.
