Alan Lee is currently the Product Manager at Internet Brands. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Product Designer at Lithium Technologies from February 2016 to June 2018. There, they led the responsive redesign of the Community product, created the style guide and interaction standards, and project managed and implemented the design process for remote and local teams. Alan also led the discovery effort to identify opportunities for new business verticals.
Before working at Lithium Technologies, Alan Lee was the UX Lead at IBM from October 2012 to February 2016. While at IBM, they advocated and practiced IBM Design Thinking, and pioneered a new business intelligence tool - Journey Analytics. Alan also patented a novel UX to calculate metrics, and partnered with key stakeholders to set vision, create road maps, and prioritize features. Additionally, they conducted and synthesized quantitative and qualitative research, created interaction prototypes with Axure Pro for user testing and team alignment, and led web accessibility and globalization for product teams.
Prior to their time at IBM, Alan Lee worked as the Senior Interaction/Visual Designer at Intuit from September 2009 to October 2012. Before that, they were a Graphic Designer at IAP World Services from March 2009 to June 2009. And before that, they were the Creative Services Manager at Sun Microsystems from September 2008 to January 2009.
Alan Lee has a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
