Dan Reed

Dan Reed is an Emeritus Presidential Professor and former Provost at the University of Utah, now serving as an independent consultant. Currently, they are the Chair of the National Science Board, where they oversee the policies of the National Science Foundation and provide recommendations on critical issues in science and engineering. Dan has held various prestigious positions, including Vice President for Research at the University of Iowa and Director of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. They have a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and continue to work on science policy and higher education strategies.
