Derrick Whisel

Derrick Whisel has over two decades of experience in technology and security solutions, currently serving as a Senior Technology Advisor - Security Solutions at Internetwork Engineering, a Presidio company, since March 1999. In this director-level role, Derrick Whisel oversees the success of security technology initiatives, advises on security architectural solution sales, and drives project delivery, alongside responsibilities for in-depth product planning, team training, quality control, and marketing strategies. Prior to this, Derrick Whisel held the position of Solutions Specialist, where a significant perimeter security solution was redesigned and implemented for a major bank's trading floor. Additionally, Derrick Whisel has experience as a Solutions Consultant at Columbia Energy Group and as a Network Engineer in the United States Navy aboard the USS Constellation CV-64, achieving the rank of IT2 Second Class Petty Officer.
