Marissa Hess

Marissa Hess has worked in the forensic science field since 2013. Marissa began their career at AMERICAN SYSTEMS as a Latent Print Technician, where they processed forensic material for latent prints using physical and chemical processes, including laser, alternate light source, and reflective ultraviolet imaging system (RUVIS). Marissa also practiced efficient team approaches to minimize processing time of forensic material, and maintained proper chain of custody. In 2014, Hess joined The Bode Technology Group as a DNA Analyst I, where they processed forensic casework samples, analyzed and interpreted DNA results using established interpretation guidelines, and documented and reported DNA analysis reports and conclusions. In 2017, Hess joined Interpace Diagnostics as a Lead Laboratory Analyst and Senior Laboratory Technologist.

Marissa Hess completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Duquesne University in 2011, after having started in 2007. Marissa then went on to pursue their Master of Science (MS) in Forensic Science and Technology from the same university, which they completed in 2012.
