Prior to that, they worked as a Video Editor at Learning Seed, where they collaborated with writers, producers, and vendors to create educational programs.

Joanna B. pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Television Production from Columbia College Chicago between the years 2001 and 2005. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to complete their Master of Arts (M.A.) in New Media Studies at DePaul University during the period of 2010 to 2012.
