John Yula

John Yula has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career in 2006 as a Lieutenant Ocean Lifeguard and Junior Lifesaving Instructor at the Town of East Hampton. In 2013, they transitioned to teaching, first as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher at Bering Strait School District and later at RE1 Valley Schools. In 2014, John worked as an iPad Champion at Northeastern Junior College, where they were responsible for integrating iPad technology into the classroom and finding educational technologies to enhance learning.

In 2016, John became a Wireline Operator at Pioneer Energy Services before transitioning back to teaching as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher at Otis School District R-3 in 2018. John then joined The Home Depot in 2019 as a Flooring and Blinds Specialist.

John's most recent roles include working at Interplay Learning, starting in 2020 as an Instructional Designer. In this role, they were involved in various tasks such as video transcription, script editing, project management, and developing assessments and presentations. In 2022, John was promoted to Lead Instructional Designer and later took on the position of Learning Operations Specialist. As a Learning Operations Specialist, they collaborated with content leadership to ensure consistency, organized training sessions, and handled priority issues within content.

John Yula completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Studies Teacher Education at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, from 2009 to 2013. In 2019, they enrolled at Full Sail University and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Educational/Instructional Media Design by 2020.

In addition to their formal education, John Yula has obtained several certifications. In August 2019, they completed the "Graphic Design Foundations: Layout and Composition" course from Lynda.com. Later in February 2020, they completed the "Cinematic Composition for Video Productions" course from LinkedIn. In August 2020, they accomplished the "Articulate Storyline Essential Training" course from LinkedIn. Moving to 2022, John acquired the certifications "Communicating with Emotional Intelligence" and "Negotiation Skills" from LinkedIn in March.
