Anja K.

Anja K. serves as the Director of Global Markets, New Frontiers, and Emerging Spaces at the IEEE Standards Association, focusing on technology and AI governance, particularly in areas such as ethical alignment of autonomous systems, generative AI applications, and international security affairs. In addition, Anja K. is a member of INTERPOL’s Standing Committee on Ethical Matters, and co-director and senior fellow of the AI and Equality Initiative at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Anja K. has held various influential positions, including roles at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Anja K.’s educational background includes leadership and organizational change training from prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and Harvard University, along with multiple degrees focused on international law, political science, and languages.
