Peter De Buysscher

Peter De Buysscher serves as Vice-President for Europe on the Executive Committee of INTERPOL and President of the Management Board of Europol, actively involved since October 2022 and July 2023, respectively. With a long-standing association with Europol starting in 2009 as a member of the Management Board representing Belgium, Peter has also held various key roles within the Belgian Federal Police since February 2001, including Director of International Police Cooperation and Acting Director of Operational Police Information. Educational accomplishments include a graduate degree from the National Executive Institute FBI & University of Virginia in 2017 and a Master in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel obtained in 2005, along with earlier studies in social work.
