Steve Reeves

Member, Specialist Group on Crimes Against Children

Steve Reeves serves as the Executive Director of Global Safeguarding since September 2021, leading efforts to combat abuse and exploitation. Reeves holds multiple key positions, including Chair of the Safeguarding Committee and Board Trustee at The Scouts, and Advisory Board Member for INTERPOL's Vulnerable Communities Directorate, contributing to projects focused on child safety. With extensive experience in safeguarding roles, Reeves has been involved with the UK Ministry of Defence as a Non-Executive Director for the Cadet Safeguarding Management Board and previously served as Safeguarding Director at Save the Children UK, overseeing global safeguarding initiatives. Furthermore, Reeves has worked with Bond UK and served on independent reference groups for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Department for International Development, providing strategic guidance on tackling sexual exploitation and abuse. Educationally, Reeves holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Policy & Practice from Birmingham City University and a BScEcon in International Politics & History from Aberystwyth University.
