Cate Powers

Cate Powers currently serves as the Head of People and External Affairs at Intersect Power, a position held since February 2021. Prior to this role, Powers was the Communications Director for the Office of the California Surgeon General, where responsibilities included developing communications strategies and providing political advice from July 2019 to February 2021. Previous experience also encompasses roles as Vice President of Communications & Brand Marketing at Flow Kana and Recurrent Energy, along with significant contributions at Edelman and Bite Communications, where Powers focused on clean technology and communications strategy for various high-profile clients. Powers holds a BA in English Communications from Fort Lewis College.
