Jen Manter is General Counsel at Intersect Power, currently leading an experienced group of attorneys and paralegal consultants to work on core corporate legal and land matters within Intersect Power.
Prior to joining Intersect Power, Jen practiced as a commercial real estate attorney at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP (now White & Case LLP) for seven years and advised clients on large-scale real estate acquisition, sale and financing transactions and developed an expertise in land development and leasing for various types of land, including hotel, vineyard, multi-family housing, industrial, and vacant properties. She also counselled major private equity real estate firms and their development partners and property managers on general corporate matters.
Jen began her legal career at Winston & Strawn LLP in that firm’s litigation group, practicing as a general commercial litigation attorney in New York City and Chicago. While at Winston & Strawn, she advised clients on telecommunications and false advertising cases, as well as real estate and general contractual disputes.
Jen earned her Juris Doctor degree (JD) from Duke University School of Law, where she was an editor of the Duke Law Journal. She also holds a Master of Arts degree (MA) from Washington University and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) from Northwestern University. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy organization and holds extensive legal relationships within the renewable energy legal industry.
