Michael Wheeler

Michael Wheeler has a diverse work experience in the energy and environmental sector. Michael is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs at Intersect Power, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, they served as the Vice President of Policy Initiatives at Flow Kana. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Recurrent Energy, first as the Vice President of Policy Initiatives and later as the Director of Policy Initiatives. In their roles at Recurrent Energy, they were responsible for navigating legislative and regulatory landscapes related to clean energy policies. Before joining Recurrent Energy, they served as the Board President at Large-scale Solar Association from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked at the California Public Utilities Commission from 2006 to 2011, first as an Energy Advisor to Commissioner Grueneich and later as the Lead Analyst for the Residential Sector Energy Efficiency. Michael started their career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an Environmental Protection Specialist from 2004 to 2006.

Michael Wheeler obtained their Masters of Energy Policy from the University of Delaware, specializing in Energy Policy and Public Policy. Michael also attended Lesley University and Marin Academy, but no specific degree or field of study was provided for those institutions.
