Sam Alexander is a seasoned professional in renewable energy project development, currently serving as the Director of Development at Intersect Power since May 2023, overseeing gigawatt-scale projects in wind, solar, storage, and Power-to-X technologies. Prior experience includes leading greenfield development at Bechtel Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed strategy and M&A within the Clean Energy group, and managing a multi-GW pipeline of projects. Sam also held senior roles at EDP Renewables, directing the full development of utility-scale energy projects across the Western United States, and has experience as a Renewable Energy Credit Associate at NRG Energy. In addition, Sam completed a legislative internship with Senator Bernie Sanders, providing research on renewable energy issues. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Latin American Political Economics from Lewis & Clark College.
